CCFCC - Edmonton: Scholarships

Currently there are three scholarship opportunities available through CCF Edmonton; the first is awarded by the National body and the other two by CCF Edmonton locally.

The National office of the Canadian Culinary Federation offers a $500 scholarship annually to one deserving Junior member from each of the four regions. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2010. The Western Region winner is selected by a committee at the Western Regional conference in February and announced at the National Convention held in the spring. Selection is based on a number of criteria including education, career plans, letters of recommendation, volunteer and community activities, etc.

This year CCF Edmonton offers two $350 scholarships to NAIT students; one in the culinary arts program and one in the apprenticeship program. Recipients are selected by the CCF Edmonton Board of Directors in April and the awards are presented at our June Awards Night meeting. Selection is based on a number of criteria including education, career plans, letters of recommendation, etc.
